This session will be geared to teachers who have limited experience with using Word. We will use Word 2007 and start with the following topics and using feedback from the particpants I will attempt to meet their needs.

N.B. I would suggest for participants who have experience with Word and wish to find out more about the latest version (2007) they should choose from one of the more specific sessions also on offer.

  • Basic file and folder management - Print and page setup.
  • Font management - Short cut keys and where to find them.
    • Font Size ; Style; Preview
    • Paragraph and Indent management
  • Word Options - setting up Word
  • Bullet Points and Numbering
  • Text Alignment and Text Spacing
  • Tips for inserting Pictures and ClipArt - Text wrapping
  • Headers and Footers - Pagination
  • Tables and their uses (there is another presentation on Word tables that would extend on this)

Word for older students
